Materials

Soap Base Ingredients

  • 1 pound goat milk melt and pour soap base, cut into cubes Main soap ingredient, creamy and gentle.

Additives

  • 1 to 2 teaspoons fully dried used coffee grounds Provides exfoliation; rinse and dry before use.
  • 1 teaspoon honey Humectant that attracts moisture, keeps amount modest.
  • as needed vanilla fragrance oil or skin-safe vanilla blend Adjust based on preference, start with a small amount.

Optional Add-Ins

  • a pinch cocoa powder For deeper color.
  • a tiny bit colloidal oatmeal For smoother texture.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut the goat milk base into small cubes so it melts evenly.
  • Melt the soap gently in short microwave bursts or in a double boiler, stirring in between until completely melted but not boiling.
  • Let the melted soap cool for a minute or two to prevent coffee grounds from sinking.
  • Stir in the honey until well combined.
  • Add the vanilla scent, starting small; you can adjust the amount later but can't remove it once added.
  • Fold in the dried coffee grounds until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the mixture into your soap mold and spritz the top with rubbing alcohol to remove bubbles.
  • Allow the soap to set for a few hours, ideally overnight, before unmolding.

Notes

Wrap fully set bars tightly in plastic wrap for storage. Best used within 6 to 12 months for optimal scent.
