Materials

Base Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon beeswax pellets Gives structure to the balm.
  • 1 tablespoon shea butter Provides creamy softness.
  • 1 tablespoon oil (sweet almond, jojoba, or coconut oil) Serves as a moisturizing agent.
  • 1/2 teaspoon honey Adds sweetness and soothing properties.
  • 1/4 teaspoon vitamin E oil Acts as a preservative for oils.

Flavor and Color Enhancer

  • 1 to 2 teaspoons powdered freeze-dried strawberries Adds flavor and color; adjust to taste.

Instructions

Melt the Base

  • Add beeswax, shea butter, and your oil to a heat-safe bowl set over gently simmering water. Stir until fully melted and glossy.

Mix Additional Ingredients

  • Turn off the heat, then stir in honey and vitamin E oil, mixing well.
  • Slowly sprinkle in the strawberry powder while stirring to prevent clumps. Mix for about 30 to 60 seconds until evenly pink.

Thickening and Pouring

  • Let the mixture cool for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. It should thicken slightly.
  • Pour into tins or lip balm tubes. Allow to set uncovered for 30 to 60 minutes.

Notes

Ensure the strawberry powder is fine to avoid a gritty texture. Let the mixture cool slightly before pouring to keep powder from settling.
