Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup sugar with 2 to 3 tablespoons of crushed green tea leaves.
  • Pour in 1/3 cup of jojoba oil and 2 tablespoons of grapeseed oil.
  • If desired, add 1 tablespoon of melted coconut oil for extra richness.
  • Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand.
  • Mix in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon of honey, and a few drops of vitamin E oil.
  • Adjust the consistency by adding more oil if too dry, or sprinkle in more sugar if too wet.
  • Store the scrub in a clean, dry jar with a lid.

Notes

Use a clean spoon to scoop the scrub and keep water out of the jar to maintain freshness. It typically lasts about 3 to 4 weeks. If it smells off or looks different, compost it and make a new batch.
